National clinical audit for HIV and STIs

MEDFASH is working as a delivery partner with the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) and the British HIV Association (BHIVA) to develop a joint topic proposal for a new national clinical audit on HIV and STIs.

In 2011 separate new topic proposals were submitted for HIV and STI audits to be included in the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP).  In response, the National Clinical Audit Advisory Group decided to procure a new combined STI/HIV audit programme. BHIVA and BASHH have been contracted by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) to work together to consult stakeholders and develop a proposal setting out the scope for this programme. 

The proposal is to be submitted in January 2013 and the new audit programme is likely to begin around the beginning of 2014.
